Job Summary

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to serve as the primary technical advisor for a strategic enterprise customer.

In this highly technical, customer-facing role, you will lead complex Cloudflare implementations and migrations, design secure and scalable web infrastructure, and provide hands-on technical guidance throughout the customer lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams while helping customers maximize the value of Cloudflare's Application Security, Workers, and AI capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, working directly with enterprise customers, and influencing the adoption of modern cloud and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, implementation, and migration of Cloudflare-based solutions for enterprise customers.

• Design secure, scalable web infrastructure leveraging Cloudflare Application Security, Workers, Workers AI, and Zero Trust capabilities.

• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

• Serve as the primary technical advisor, guiding customers through architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve complex technical challenges and advocate for customer needs.

• Collaborate with customers in fast-paced, Slack-first environments, providing clear technical guidance and timely solutions.

• Drive the adoption of AI-driven security and cloud-native technologies aligned with customer objectives.

• Identify opportunities to expand security capabilities, including Network Security and SASE architectures.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical consulting, solutions architecture, customer engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role.

• Strong expertise with Cloudflare , including Application Security, Workers, Workers AI, or comparable web security platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Solid understanding of networking, web infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Zero Trust/SASE principles.

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud or security solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.

• Strong interest in AI technologies and familiarity with AI/LLM concepts.

• Advanced English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Network Security or SASE implementations.

• Scripting or programming experience for automation (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript, or Bash).

• Experience with Cloudflare Workers AI or other AI-powered cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience working within consulting, professional services, or digital transformation organizations.

• Background supporting large-scale enterprise migrations or modernization initiatives.
